Relocation is concerned with workforce mobility, that is moving staff either internationally or domestically.
This service is often offered and covered by employees’ companies or may sometimes benefit from Mobili-Pass, a financial aid aimed at making staff geographical mobility easier.
The need for relocation services has grown over the years with expanding international groups and has become more and more present in SMEs.
Relocation missions vary according to the clients’ profiles, whether French or foreigners.
To start with, the relocation consultant helps the employee define his needs in terms of housing by presenting the geographical area, the characteristics of the housing market in that particular area, the kinds of schools available, public transport, green areas around, among many other useful criteria.
Follows one day (on average) for intensive visits of potentially suitable homes to choose from.
Once the decision has been made, the relocation agent organises the settling-in process, including opening the electricity, gaz and phone/Internet contracts, along with starting a housing insurance contract, opening a bank account or even finding and renting a parking spot whenever needed.
Sometimes, the relocation agent’s mission includes the organisation of the moving itself.
If the employee is not French, the relocation agent will also cover the school and VISA formalities along with the family’s cultural integration, among many other services.
